This is a die struck example in excellent condition with lugs N/S and traces of polish at the rear.
These are die struck examples 48 x 65mm. They have no means of fixing so my assumption is that they would either be sewn to the item or have holes to enable fixing. They appear too small for pouch or cross belt so may have been used on the forage cap?
